Comments:
Just before the contest, Rig A's speech processor failed, leaving me with
ragchewer's net audio, and about 75 watts into the BPF, probably 60 watts out.
Rig B was already in a degraded mode, where it transmits 100W for one second,
then slides down to 10 watts in the next five seconds. I think these problems
played with my head when I got to the adverse conditions on 40 - 160. I felt
weak, and acted weak. Maybe I WAS weak! Anyway, the low bands were like hitting
a brick wall, after pretty good conditions on 10 - 20. Both of these rigs need
to go to the repair shop, but the contests just keep coming, so whaddya gonna
do?
It was nice to hear Connie, Sue, Linda(2), Susan, Becky, Vicky, Paula, Adina,
and one or two other ladies slugging it out with the guys.
Thanks for all the QSO's, and especially for the moves. See you in the
Sprints.
