Antennas: 6 el. yagi @ 75 ft.

None of the antennas was working in stack.
All the antennas made by LU1FJ.
Comments: Low line tension resulted in reduced power output. We never felt too
strong! The antennas
made by LU1FJ, did a great job and compensated the lack of output power.
There was a minor power outage on Sunday afternoon.
Conditions were just fine from this part of the world.
The lack of packet cluster meant lots of time lost searching for mults. So every
new mult we worked
generated a round of applause :-). By the way, mni tnx to all those mults who
QSYed from
CW to SSB and vice versa upon request!
It was nice to have 4 different take off angles to choose from. On saturday, the
yagi @ 120 feet was
the best option for working W's. On Sunday this antenna was completely silent (I
mean completely),
it was neither broken nor anything like that, it was just the propagation! We
worked EU/W with the
6 el. at 36 ft, most of the afternoon.
We enjoyed some of the off time listening to contesting "monster" stations:
ZD8Z, ZW5B, ZX5J,D44TD,
and many others! What a great pleasure!
During the late afternoon and early evening we had to turn the RX preamps of the
IC 775 off, because
almost everybody was comming well over S9, and of course, there were three or
four that almost make
the S-METER needle crash at the end of the meter!!

Appart from contesting itself and more important, we experienced the kindness
and friendship
from LU1FKR,LU3FZW and LU1FJ (Ex.LU5FHM)once again. They are really making a
great effort to keep
the station in "good shape" in spite of Argentine economics!!!!
