Would you believe I almost forgot about this contest? I wasn't able to get on
Friday as that evening was picked for our BCDX Club dinner. Very enjoyable.
Saturday I kind of forgot and we had to go to our daughters for mother to help
with some inhouse demostration thing, so I stayed downstairs with the grandsons
playing a few games. When we got home I said to Trish I think I'll check to see
what may have been posted on the reflectors and suddenly remembered about the
ARRL 160. Turned on the rig and reached over to switch the 160 antenna in line
(not switched with the TopTen device as my lowpass filter is an older one,
covers 80-10 only), the band sounded not too bad, not to much noise here for a
change.
All Q's were S&P, I kind of wished I could of operated longer but since our
furnace was turned off Wednesday afternoon and won't be replaced until Tuesday,
it was geting kind of chilly down here even with a coat on and a blanket
wrapped around my legs. It was fun to get on and I hope I will be able to put
some kind of listening antenna for the CQ 160 tests.
Thanks all for the Q's and I only had to ask twice for a check on the Sec.
Best Season Greetings to everyone.
