Comments:
Could only manage a part-time effort. Amazed at the propagation turn-around on
the high bands. Conditions Sunday were outstanding with very low noise levels
on 15/10M. However, 160M/80M were poor throughout.
Lost the 40M delta loop Saturday afternoon and kept losing the Writelog memory
keyer, but otherwise smooth sailing. FT-1000D is in the shop for a PIN diode
upgrade, but the MP performed quite well as did the Alpha 99, which was a bit
less finicky on cw (less spectrum/band) than ssb.
Hats off to EI4DW who did a stellar job handing out the EI mult without
lightning fast cw ability. This could be said for several other dx stations,
and it seems like a good sign.
Wish more pileup ops would go split when faced with tailending gridlock.
Thanks for the q's & 73,
Barry N1EU
