Just got a amusing reminder e-mail
about all the garbage hoaxes and
spam a lot of us get ranging from
$200 cookie recipies to kidney
theft rings. And right down there
on item #7 was something near and
dear to every list administrators heart......
7. If you're using Outlook, IE, or Netscape
to write email, TURN OFF the "HTML encoding."
Those of us on Unix shells can't read it, and
don't care enough to save the attachment and
then view it with a web browser since you're
probably forwarding us a copy of the Neiman
Marcus Cookie Recipe anyway.
Remember - the list FAQ specifies "Plain Text"
messages only and no attachments.
Replies direct only
