Comments:
This was my first mobile contest ever. We had a ball. We were mobile from
basically Sacramento, Ca to Reno at the beginning of the contest. I could hear
N6RO station operating but they couldnt hear me mobile going up and over Donner
Pass on our way to Reno. But we worked 17 stations that first evening. KH6ND
had a super signal in the mobile. Our mobile setup isnt much. A IC 706 through
a borrowed MFJ tuner to a cb mag mount. So those that hear the little signal
were doing good.
>From Reno,Nv. the next day we were on all the way to the StLake City airport
were we picked up the daughter. Still worked a few staions from the parking
lot.. The next day more on the way from St Lake to Grand Junction,Co..
Thanks to all who took time to work us. Most memorable contatcts were
FM5BH,PJ9/ON4CFD, 3V8BB this was due to the pile up on them. Again thanks to
all and to CQ for all the fun. Sure beats just looking at the road for a 1000
miles. K0UK op and KB0QAA xyl and logger/dupe sheet keeper. Bill and Janice
