This surely was an interesting contest for me, in more ways
than just the conditions. I was feeling somewhat sick on
Thursday and Friday, mostly due to fatigue from my work load.
Then I cleaned out the driveway about 30 minutes before the
contest so that the predicted coastal change to rain wouldn't
leave us with a skating rink after the contest (not a great time
to do it, but I couldn't see taking time off in the middle of the
contest).
I don't think I ever put in a major effort when I was this tired.
As the contest progressed, I often found myself either hallucinating
or dozing off for a few seconds at a time, even in the midst of big
runs. Nevertheless, by God's grace, I not only made it through the
contest but also enjoyed my best ARRL DX ever. Oh yes, and I was
also able to go to work yesterday and function properly (sort of,
anyway).
