Comments: This was a field day style operation - the club was on a
club sponsored camp out at KnobNoster state park 50 miles southeast of
Kansas City. We set up a TS-430 and an HF6V and started operations from a
picnic table at the camp site. However, rain forced us to move into a
pop-up trailer to try to stay dry. It rained on us all weekend- just like
field day!
We broke camp at 10:30 Sunday morning when the rain let up long enough to
tear things down in the mud. Actually it was a good, fun outing, but very
messy.
Thanks to the good California contesters for the activity- the guys were
really going after it. Lots of big numbers. Cu in CQWW.
I have observed all competition rules as well as all regulations for
amateur radio in my country. My report is correct and true to the
best of my knowledge. I agree to be bound by the decisions of the
contest committee.
