The conditions here seemed far more like mid-July than late May.
20 was so horrendous that I switched radios to make sure I didn't
have a dead receiver, then I began to wonder what was wrong with the
antenna. I could hear stations down south working on 20 like
gangbusters. (Maybe that's why Jack KX1A thought 20 was great - he
is also south of me!) Only after the contest (when I heard other
New England operators compaining about 20) did I stop worrying.
10 meters was a noshow - I probably only worked 15 European stations,
and all on a skew path after their sunset.
