Wow! What a contest! Conditions seemed very good, even though the SFI
was only 105. 10M was open both days and proved to be my best band with
almost 800Q. Had a blast doing SO2R (or practicing anyway). Once you get
a rhythm going of point & shoot on the 2nd radio between CQs on the 1st
radio, the rate really rises fast! It really kept fatigue at bay by now
being able to work stateside for points on different bands between the
DX.
Highlights: great Russian Asia opening Friday nite on 20M.
great JA runs on 15 both nites.
great EU opening on20M Sat nite at 2AM - all EU 40 over9.
great activity from stateside 2X1's for mults -probably from the
new
1point rule.
great SA run of LU/PYs on Sun afternoon.
most ops ID'd frequently and repeated numbers back without being asked.
Lowlights: 40m !#@$%#^%* - open to EU but crowded and generally no place
to listen for EU on split.
Rig: station 1 FT1000mp/Alpha 78/Icecomm filter box/Topten
decoder/antenna switches.
station 2 FT1000D/Alpha 87A.
Used Writelog for Windows -excellent program.

Look for me as a multisingle with Brian N3OC down at the V26B site for
WPX CW in May! We will using V26E.
