     Comments:
After doing this contest since 1990, MY FIRST SWEEP! Thanks
all. Things got off to an interesting start. I found WP2Z CQ?ing
on 10M 2 minutes before the contest started and we chatted for
a while. I figured we would be each other?s QSO #1. But, I guess
he was QRM?ing someone and he QSY?d on me 15 seconds before the
contest started! I eventually caught him on Sunday and had NP2E call
me during my 10M run on Saturday so I didn?t lose the mult. But it
would have been a great way to start. As usual had to fight the pileups
for VO1MP, VE2CRL, and VE9XB. Though was pleasantly surprised when
VE8EV gave me #19 at 2248 Saturday during my 10M run and VY1A was easy
to
work later that night 20M. From the sounds of VY1A?s QSO count late
on Sunday plenty of folks worked him. Plenty of DE, NNY, ME, AK, and
     VE4-6 on the air.

10M was great on Saturday, but never really opened on Sunday, though
it was close. 40M sure seemed weird on Saturday night. It opened very
long and then seemed to shorten up as the night went on. (Or all the
other west coast stations stayed off 40M until much later than normal,
which may have been the case with 10 and 15 open much later than in the
past years.) However, on Sunday, 40M seemed pretty much normal.

Tried two radio operation for the first time. An interesting
experience.
Kind of like patting your head and rubbing your stomach at the same
time.
After a while you kind of get used to it. Not sure how many second
radio
Q?s I made until I look more closely at the log, right now guess is 30
or
so. I was somewhat hampered by cross station interference. Next time I
will invest in some bandpass filters and/or stubs.

     See everyone later.

     K7ZO/Scott
