A last minute schedule change caused N6RO to miss this Sprint. Ken
graciously offered me the use of his station.
I've only ever done one other Sprint from RO's and that was an
antenna-sharing experiment <failed> with N5KO. So it was hard for me to
tell if the low antennas were doing the job on 20 and 40. 20 seemed a
little strange -- the 5's were not very loud and N2IC was only 30 over 9
instead of his usual 60 over. I got stomped on a fair bit on this band and
had my worst hour there. 40 was better and 80 was the best, rate-wise.
Great conditions overall and terrific to see some new Sprinters on, esp.
from NCCC.
