Wow!!
Having lost one of my TS-930s to lightning damage, still not having
a 40M beam and with heavy non-ham commitments, this was to be
a 12-hour high band fun effort, then stop.
Well, with some amazing rates, including my personal best from a
home QTH (in the area of 190), I took off time at 2030Z to run out
and put up the 80M inverted vee that had been used at FD just so
I'd have something on 80 and try to go most of the 24 hours! Lost
40 minutes there.
The one radio limitation made it a laid-back effort, but the rates
just amazed me!
Normally, thunderstorms would shut us Floridians down for part of
this test - perhaps my favorite of the year - but this year they would
only cause heavy QRN and no shutdowns.
Made the mistake of finding out that Bill, W4AN was CW only and
well ahead of me late Saturday night, so once 20M closed to Europe
and I was stuck with piddly signals on the low bands and nobody to
work, I packed it in with an hour to go, missing a good finish, no doubt.
Really is remarkable to see how well Randy and Bill did, compared to
the all-time high scores in this thing. Congrats, guys!!

Hope this .BRK pastes in a readable format...
