Find below K4VX's score report for W1AW/0.
A few comments from me.
- My first trip to K4VX. Very impressive station.
- Great bunch of ops. Everyone pitched in where ever
needed or asked not just for operating but also for
set-up, repairs, etc.
- Rude awakening for an East Coaster to the Black Hole.
At the start (0700 local) asked AG9A why he had the
20M beams on JA. Amazing sight for me to not be
running Europe on 20M at 0700 local time.
- A few key hints and tips from W9QA made the trip
worthwhile. It is really great to see a super op
be so willing to help a middle of the pack guy.
- First time to spend any time with W0AIH. Wish I
could bottle what keeps Paul going. What a
dynamic guy! His enthusiasm combined with the
pictures of his antenna farm make me want to
make the trip to the deep part of the Black Hole.
- A big, big thanks to Lew and Terry for making my
stay so enjoyable. Also thanks to N0TP and his wife
for their hospitality.
