COMMENTS: Despite the battle with the sun gods, we had good participation
this year. Given that VE3ODX was one of two "headquarters" stations worth
10 points the above score gives an indication of just how tough it was!
This is only the second year of this contest and there is no "tradition" of
provincial QSO parties in Canada. Nevertheless, 32 of the 48 Ontario
multipliers made it into our log. From looking at a few of the other logs
that have come in by e-mail, it appears that there was activity from at
least three or four others. Heaviest activity for this contest remains on
the 80 meter band.
Also quite a few Florida stations in the logs received so far...perhaps
there'll be some "cross-entries" between the two contests.
We have a good solid foundation to build upon for future contests and
everyone seemed to be having alot of fun!
Watch the Ontario DX Association website at www.durhamradio.ca/odxa for
results as they come in.
