Comments: What started out as a multi-multi Lakeland ARC club
event turned
into a single-op assisted effort. We set up at our
field day
location in Lakeland. First the club TS-940 decided to
stop\
sending anything. AFter another radio was located, we
figured
out that the electric sub-station and all the high
voltage
power lines caused a VERY loud noise...on all bands.
Even with
the noise blanker, only the strongest stations could be
heard.
So after about 3 hours, we closed up shop. Glad we
found this
out before June!
I operated from home part time Sunday. Just about all
cw, except for
a few
10m ssb contacts. Conditions not the best, but could
have been worse
I suppose.
Lots of activity. I saw lots of internet packet spots
for FL
stations.
I have observed all competition rules as well as all regulations
for
amateur radio in my country. My report is correct and true to
the
best of my knowledge. I agree to be bound by the decisions of
the
contest committee.
