Comments:
This was THE hardest working K3LR crew EVER!
160 - W3GH ("Green Hornet") comes back for another "static stint".
He is 3 countries away from W3LPL, which is fantastic.
W3GH was operating in multi-multi teams some 32 years ago.
Bob brings lots of experienced talent to our team!
80 - VE3EJ operates in the USA phone band (VE's can work almost
all of their European QSOs transceive!) for the first time!
Adjusts very well to almost all split operation! Great QSO
total and best multiplier on the band. 3 element beam broke
in December. We'll fix it this summer.
40 - K8GL and K9VV were on a mission to break the old W3LPL 105
country 40 meter record. Nice job at 110! What a team!
Great 82 first hour and 103 JAs.
20 - Iron man Pat, N9RV anchors an outstanding 2200+ QSO effort.
Very good JAs at the start (287 total on 20) and steady rates
are trademarks of N9RV. VE3OI (ex VE3BVD) comes out of a 10
year contest retirement to help out (He had never seen CT!).
ND8L tries his hand at 20 for the first time. This band was
wall to wall packed. I have never heard it so busy!
15 - N3RA and K3UA are "Kings of Caffeine" K3UA with 58 cups of
coffee and 16 Cokes, N3RA with 18 Cokes and 10 Surge blasts.
These guys were shaking QSOs out of the band! Lots of tag
team to keep the rate up. 7 hours over 100 QSOs tells the story.
10 - KA3JWJ picks up new partner XE2AC to help bring 10 meters
to life. LOTS of LU QSOs. Only a few Europeans.
XE2AC is a very "smooth operator"
***Congrats to W3LPL, N2RM and K1KI for outstanding efforts!
I am proud to have the K3LR team compete in the same class as these
fine operations!
I hope to see everyone at the Dayton Contest Dinner in May.
73,
Tim K3LR
