We were lucky to have reasonably quiet conditions in the west this year.
The overall impression from Idaho was that there weren't the normal number
of people participating. One look at the national weather map
showed thunderstorms covering the eastern US so I guess the noise was too
much to take. Chalk another one up to El Nino. To the guys back east that
braved the thunderstorms; Thank you for pulling us through. Your hearing
should return to normal in a couple of days. This contest always seems to
ask
for more of everything; more radials, more listening antennas, more sleep.
