Had fun just DXing and cruising for new QRP states. Thanks to the good
ears of Martti, EA8BH, I now have an African QSO on Top Band! It sure
helps to have a guy on the other end that knows your call... Also had
success putting some more QRP states in the log; down to MS, ME, and VT
for QRP WAS on Top Band. Didn't expect to hear either of the New England
states, but missed Miss. Called lots of the loud JA's just for fun, but
didn't get a QRP JA QSO this year...one of these days...
VR98BG showed up just at West Coast sunrise Sunday morning, but didn't
hear many of us. Bret - good signal out of that HF2V! V73GT was audible
on Saturday morning.
A fun adventure again this year. The hardline rx loop was a joy to listen
to for NA and Caribbean QSOs...s/n ratio >10dB better than either of the
coax snakes and better yet than the inverted-L.
See you in ARRL DX!
73, Ward N0AX
