Awesome contest from start to finish. First hour I have 119 QSO with 42
mults. I could have done better if I had thought of checking the 80m
antennas when
I first got to the ranch. All 80m antennas were set for SSB. For some reason
I never even thought of 80m until it was time to go to 80m on Sat night. At
1:00am in the morning I went to see if I could change the 80m ant. to CW
it was so dark I couldn't see and my hand light wasn't strong enough for
me to get the wires over the trees. I figured maybe in the morning I could
do it, WRONG the bands opened early and I didn't have time to do it. However
my rates stayed up pretty well staying on 40m most of the time.. I only had
90 QSO on 80m.
I love rate contests with out BAND MULTS.
