SOAP: Had planned to do a few single band efforts due to power line noise,
broken amps, and part-time operator availability. But the old bug bit and
we did a semi-serious multi-multi anyway, 4 TX, less than 1 KW on 160, 20,
15. We introduced our new Radio Oakley Contest Club call and practiced TR
on the network. The weekend went fairly well except loosing all rotators
on 40 and 20 for a few hours (Thank goodness the motor capacitors were at
15' instead of 130' - I replaced them in the dark and got all but the low
20 turning)
Congrats to the OF gang at K6IDX, now we know who that was beating us in
the pileups. We're not exactly spring chickens either, except for KX7M!
AE0M will post more score details when the log is final. 73, Ken.
