                                   COMMENTS

This was my first time in this contest, and the effort was semi-serious.
It was a lot of fun, much like the NAQP's, but with both modes at once,
and fewer multipliers. Most Canadian ops were willing to QSY to a
different band or mode when requested, even though there was nothing
to be gained by them from the QSY, except good will. They seem to be a
civilized lot.

This was also my first time in many years to deliberately choose the
low power category in _any_ contest. I'm breaking in a new neighbor,
who owns every electronic contrivance known to mankind, and I didn't
want a showdown on this particular weekend. I'm giving him some time
to absorb the material in the FCC Interference Manual. Low power wasn't
hard in this contest, because activity was relatively light, and phone
activity was concentrated in the Extra Class bands, but I wouldn't want
a steady diet of it.

Someone in the neighborhood got a new touchlamp for Christmas. I guess
I'll have to drag out the secret touchlamp weapon again.

Happy New Year to all, and see you in the NAQP's!
