The beginning of the contest was very slow. We were wondering
what was going on due to the low QSO count. 40 was the band that saved
us on the first night. After concentrating here after 20 died, things
started moving quite well, especially to JA land. The next morning,
the 5x5x5x5 20m stack on Europe gave us an early opening and were able to
pick up quite a few mults from that part of the world. The only 15 meter
antenna currently up is a single 6 element yagi. That was all that was
needed for alot of nice mults from Africa on Saturday morning (local).
Many nice runs into Europe and we really want to thank our JA friends
for the good runs into their country. You guys had quite a few very
strong signals coming into Oregon.
All in all, it was a very good contest. It was nice to
have CQWW CW fall on a non Thanksgiving weekend for a change!
Oh yes...no equipment failures!
