First ever real contest from home. Was quite pleased with results, but
need a few improvements.
Titan failed on Friday night, but took me an hour to fix it so I didn't
lose much time.
Power failure during peak European run on Sunday, but only 15 mins.
Happy to have almost exact multiplier as Randy, a testimony to 2 radio
stuff I guess. Need to be a bit louder on the low bands though, had a
tough time on Friday night getting going. Almost quit when the amp blew,
but got second wind.
Congrats to ZD/KM, and all the rest of the boys, with special mention to
KQ2 sugar johnny M for a nice score with wires. Of course KT3Y has been
doing that for years! I tried wires for a while and I must say Aluminum
is a much better flame thrower than copper.
P.S. N3NT, heres 50 bux to change to a different call!
P.P.S. Winners in 1998: K4AAA, K3LR, and of course still winning m/s,
K1AR.
