It=B4s been a long time since I=B4ve operated the WW as S/A. The last time=
was
back in =B492 as OH0DX. Lots of antenna work here over the summer and this=
was
going to be the first serious effort to test the station. It was too bad
conditions were so poor, especially the low bands. Had lots of fun anyway.
160: Nothing heard from the US/Carribbean and only a couple DX from
Asia/Africa. Worked everything I heard, though.
80: Very difficult from up here as always. The best signal from the US was
KO1F. JH5ZJS was super loud, but couldn=B4t hear the Europeans calling=
him...
40: This must have been the worst conditions to the US I can recall. Nothing
heard from there the first night and just a few stations the second night.
W0UN was head and shoulders above the others.
20: Didn=B4t open to the US as well as I had hoped. Had some good runs=
though.
Congrats to N7AVK and N7DD for their big west coast signals!
15: A nice little opening to JA and also some stateside coming through. A
little hint to the US M/S and M/M types: If KC1XX is on the band edge, don=
=B4t
try to steal it from them! They were at least 2 S-units stronger than the
others up here! Looks like Matt=B4s new antenna system is working...
10: Great opening to Asia/EU, but not much else coming through.
Now it=B4s back to the drawing board to get something more competitive for
80m. Any ideas??
