Hello !

Well, this years SACs are over by now. The CW-part showed us how bad the
conditions can be. The SSB propagation was better, luckily. The
activity was a little down though, probably because of the CQWW RTTY
Contest.

In the CW-part i totaled 702 QSOs, 136 multipliers and 202,000 points. I
tried a little harder than normally with moving multipliers, and many
moves were succesful. Though i feel handicapped on 40m without a beam, it
was second best in QSO-totals and also second in multipliers also.
Believe it or not, 80m was the best QSO-band !! 20m yielded only some 220
QSOs. Despite the bad conditions, also 10 and 15 opened somewhat and some
European multipliers could be catched. Here follows the summary :

The SSB-part showed some better conditions, although 10m wasn't open, at
least what i heard...15m was open to Africa quite late, and i was able to
get 9J2, ZS and 5A1A as nice multipliers. On 20m surprises were
5X, 3V8, ZD7, ZD8 and 7P. The band stayed open quite well, and it was
nice to get called by "plenty" of W's on Sunday, they weren't as much on
Saturday. Again the 40m handicap was there, and this time it felt really
terrible, because i missed some clear European multipliers, because i
wasn't able to get a good running frq. Only on Sunday evening i got a
frequency where i could get some Europeans + 3 mults. Here is the summary:

The equipment used is a TS-140S, AL-80A (600w out), 4el tribander (A4S)
15m up, dipoles 40 & 80, MFJ-432 voice keyer + Datong speech processor +
Heil headset on SSB.

Ok, that's the story from here. I hope to work all of you in the CQ WW
SSB / CW. I have to try fighting for the Under-21 yrs plaques. Thanks to
everyone for the QSOs in the SACs !!!
