TOTAL 258 816 351 1055 41 SCORE: 76,711
(609 qso's, 41 mults)
Equipment: Yaesu 757GXii with JPS NIR-12 dsp
Ant. on 80 - 40: Butternut Vert, Inverted V
20 - 10: A3A Tribander at 50 ft.,
R5 at 55 ft. (above the A3A)
Soapbox: This was the first contest I've been in since redoing
the antenna system. Also, the dsp filter arrive late
friday, so got it working but wasn't to familiar with
it. Worked good on ssb, not so good on cw. Now after
reading the manuel, I know why! High-lite of the
contest for me was having several good runs on 15 and
20 ssb. I'm not normally known to have a good signal
on either band. Hopefully the R5/A3A was part of the
reason, but the bands were in really good shape too.=20
First time that I've spent more than just a couple of
hours on this contest; Think I will be back next year
with a strategy for multiplier hunting.(!)
