QXQ: The press of work (new product is late due to manufacturing problems)
and mourning over the loss of my delta loop antennas balanced with my
general, "Never, ever, say Uncle" philosophy resulted in a token one hour
effort. Sorry, Scott.
Story: (Regular readers only) The HOA had their attorney send my attorney
a letter saying that my proposed highly visible 50' mast and Tribander
to replace the nearly invisible set of the four delta loops (which the HOA
board had the county road crew cut down) will not be allowed.
However, the letter seems to have backed off from the "We will decide what is
invisible, and nothing we can find is invisible" view expressed by some HOA
board members. It merely quotes the appropriate paragraph of the CC&Rs
contract, which prohibits "receiving antennas ... visible to public view".
Being a pushy sort, I will probably put some sort of wire up in the back
garden as soon as I can find the time. Until then, its back to the attic
dipole, and too bad that the nice family next door will have to either live
with whatever RFI, or make the time to let me help them with extra ferrite
filters etc.
