Got tired of waiting for conditions conducive to cranking up 80M tower
on which I have two 1/4 slopers for 160M... So before second night hung a
inverted V and played a little bit. All Q's S & P. FT1000MP wid
250Hzfilter was great.
Entry Class : S/O using packet...makes it a multi
Time on: around 6 hours 2ed night.
Rx antennae: inverted V, 1/4 slopers frozen on ground,80M beam at 23'
roped off aimed shortpath, 2M,23 ele,60'long boom yagi at 25'....I tried
everything... gotta roll out a Beverage.
Score: Q's= 125, C=11, States/Prov=42 for around 25K.
Thought at first I'd put the inverted V up right in the center of the
"JA Sweet Spot" (mythical land mass alluded to in semi-private
communications regarding prior contesting efforts)... but then realized
it was simply just a great opening to JA.
73 and I remain, Lew
