I should have said the radio is an FTDX5000.

I'm not currently using my FT1kmpMK5 but as I recall the band map on second
VFO works (or worked) with that rig - so running SO2R with a pair of these
and I had four bandmaps all clickable and fully functional.
I believe it will only work where the 2nd VFO is really a second receiver
because I have been struggling tomake it work in the same way with the
FT950 and it simply does not. As soon as you swith VFO's the bandmaps
simply reflect the centre frequency of the active VFO.
But it did work very nicely with the FT1000mpMK5.

You've just reminded me.
I used to use the band-map on the 2nd VFO and leave it parked up the band
when running single band. But I found out in this year's CQWW that my 'band
map on 2nd VFO' is just a copy of the band map on the main VFO. It even
scrolls when I spin the main VFO and if I close the 2nd band map window the
main one will close as well. Weird!
