The .ini file actually has the final say. If you change it there... I'm
sure it will work.

Jim
I have used these, BUT
the current version of the HELP file, under DCU-1
clearly states that no .ini entries affect that device.
So, I assumed that that was the final answer on that one.
Would be worth a try for which ever port Joe is using for the DCU-1,
but my suspision is that it won't control the port used by the DCU-1.
Guess only Wayne knows for sure
Happy Holidays to all the WL folks !!

Ric.
All of the baud rates are set in writelog.ini under the ports heading.
Here is a copy of my ports section from my writelog.ini file.
[PORTS]
dvktype=2
dvkport=4
cwtype=1
cwport=1
dvkstoploop=1
dvkechomic=1
Comm4RigManager={D0DE9422-0517-11D4-9D1B-00105AA43DDF}
Comm4XmitControl=ALWAYS
COM2:=9600,n,8,1
Comm3RigManager={D0DE9422-0517-11D4-9D1B-00105AA43DDF}
Comm3XmitControl=ALWAYS
As you can see, COM2 is set for 9600,n,8,1.
Make an entry just like this for your port and the baud rate you want.

Joe,

DCU-1: the COMM port is set to 4800 baud, no parity, 8 bits, 1 stop bit.
No
INI settings affect this.
This explains the problem, but offers no 2400 baud solution

Subject: [WriteLog] Rotator Control
Hello,
I am still fighting a rotator control problem with WriteLog. The
rotator is the C.A.T.S. DPU-1800d
and it responds correctly to the HyGain DCU-1 control character set,
but only at 2400 baud.
In WriteLog I have set up for the correct Com Port and the DCU-1
format. Then I go to the device
manager and force the baud rate to 2400 with the correct number of
data bits, start, stop, etc.
When I command the antenna to turn (Radio, Antenna to this azimuth
(Value)) the rotator control
unit does not receive the command to turn to (Azimuth). This is very
confusing because using
another logging program that allows the baud rate to be set directly
in the program (to 2400)
the controller works every time. I am missing something somewhere.
Thanks in advance for any ideas on this one.
