I make a habit of working the dupes that reply to my CQ. As long as the
program marks the dupes (as WriteLog does) they go in with the report and
don't count against you.
If you reply to another station that you "worked B4" and your first contact
with that guy is busted in his log chances are that that contact won't count
in your log and you just chased a legitimate contact away. If you work him
again one of his contacts will be good in your log with the second marked as
a dupe. His log will show one good contact and a busted contact. With
computer logging there is no good reason not to work a dupe . . . and it's
often faster than trying to chase him/her away.
