FINDFAST.EXE is the file indexing process that all MS Office applications
use. I routinely delete it from every system I set up (and delete the
registry key that starts FINDFAST as well as the "Start MS Office"
application in Start -> Programs -> Startup). Those changes have never
caused me or anyone I provided support for any problems.
The also save some otherwise unrecoverable memory space and reduce the
Gates imposed system overhead!
