Hi Wayne, first let me thank you for reconfiguring the Florida QSO Party.
I have just purchased an LCU-3 serial cable from W1GEE. This takes the place
of the ICOM CI-V computer to rig RS232 interface. For my general purpose
logging I use PROLOG2K and this interface works fine, giving me the mode and
frequency etc. so I know the interface is working. I think my problem is how
to set it up for WriteLog.
Problem is when I start Writelog (into a test contest) it tells me "No Rig"
although I have told it that the rig is on comm1
Problem two. In the Ports dialogue, my rig is not represented. I am using an
ICOM 737A (ICOM 737 had no VOX, the A model does). Is there another
compatible rig I can use or do I need you to specifically set this one up?
I have read, and re-read the help files on the Port set-up and I am still a
little confused. Can I key CW through the comm. port? There is a radio
button for CW on comm1 in the Ports dialogue. Each time I alter the Ports
dialogue and 'Save the configuration' is it necessary to reboot the computer
to have WriteLog re-read the .ini file, or can I just close down WriteLog
and open it again?
Thanks for any help
