I have a fair amount of enameled #14 (I think) soft-drawn wire. (Very soft drawn; no good for wire antennas unless they are short.) Can I use this for in-ground radials? I am in the mid-Hudson region of NY; AFAIK, there is nothing especially bad about our soil! The enamel seems quite tough when trying to prepare an end for solder.
