Presently I am feeding my elevated feeds with elevated RG6 (F660BEF) with
100 beads on the end of the coax near the feedpoint.
I want to bury the feedlines. The only way I can do that is to make the
feedlines ¾ wave instead of 1/4 wave. The feedpoints will now have a #31
ferrite core with 24 turns RG-179 per K9YC?s recommendations.
I plan on using my AA-230 to check the feedline lengths. Since I want to
resonate the lines with the ferrite core attached, I plan on cutting the
feedlines to 3650/3 = 1.217 MHZ with the output of the coax on the ferrite
core open.
Just verifying I am doing this correctly so I don?t wind up with a bunch of
small RG6 stubs.
By the way I tried both the 75 ohm and 50 ohm setting on the AA-230. It made
zero difference with the measurement.
Tnx
N2TK, Tony
