Any wind is definitely a problem when soldering up a tower. I've had good success using a cardboard box as a wind shield. Take it up the tower along with a razor knife and cut it to fit around your work. Use Duct Tape to keep the box in place while you work. Blocking the wind/breeze helps a bunch.
