Hi Wilson,
I just pulled a 50 year-old AR-22 (at least I think that is what it is --
I'm not at that QTH right now and can't check) that was used by me back in
my High School days, and then by my dad (SK) for a while later. It has been
in storage for about 20 years. It is now on top of a 13' mast, with about
5' of mast above it, with a 3-el InnovAntenna 6M LFA. (No tower.) Works
"OK." Only issue is that it has to be calibrated often. I was amazed that
it still worked at all!

Subject: [TowerTalk] AR-22 Rotor
I just pulled an AR-22 from storage.
Does anyone have experience using it with a light tribander, with the
rotor down in the tower, of course?
Except for the bad capacitor, it seems in great shape.
There was a BRAND NEW coil of flat control cable with it, but the
insulation had hardened and would break off if the cable were flexed!
Now it’s in the scrap bin.
