I agree with Roger, the simplest way to get a BIG antenna to the top of the
tower is either a crane or in pieces. At K4VX there are PVRC mounts on the
top of every tower to allow the boom to pivot for removal of elements. He
has two or three 59 foot boom antennas, all are extremely heavy ( the full
sized 40 is over 275 pounds, the 6 element 20 is almost 200 pounds) and all
are assembled and disassembled on the tower top. Two men on the tower is a
must for these antennas though.
