I use bent aluminum rims from auto body shops. I ask at local body shops if they have a bent al. rim they would care to donate to a good cause (Ham Radio) and usually get them for free once I tell them of all the good things Ham Radio has done. I drill the perimeter and use stainless steel sheetmetal screws to attach wires. I've had mine in for over 21 years with no problems.
