If the tank is buried it will come with two ground electrodes that go
beneath the tank to prevent electrolysis of the tank sink. The surface
mounted tanks usually are not required to be grounded other than through the
gas line to the structure.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Propane tanks
I have a 500 gallon propane tank planned for my new house in Lake Havasu
City AZ. There are no provisions for grounding. Both the builder and the
propane company say that nothing is required.
