dear om, I have the 2 el 40 meter Hy-Gain beam at 65 feet and it is a killer
antenna, I work loads of dx...my country total went from 149 when I had a wire
antenna to 325 confirmed today, however this has taken years to do hi..I love
the beam and it work super on 18 MHZ, and 24 mHZ with a tuner and 200 watts,
have worked 295 countries on 18 mhz and 220 on 24 MHZ so I got 3 bands out of
one antenna...enjoy and maybe this helps you a little...not sure about the
single element 40 , but I sure like the 2 el model...K7ABV..eric
