The Rohn 55 was here, installer on site...no mast. The ordered 24' 3/8 wall
CM would arrive days later..all 172# of it. The gin pole was neither long
enough nor strong enough to do the job. The installer put three sections of
Rohn 25 together, attached ropes and pulleys, hoisted them up, secured them
with chains to the Rohn 55...and up the mast went. It was not easy but it
worked. Not the best way for sure but it can be done and it was plenty
strong and safe. Building the tower around it is the only smart way to get
it in the air. The other posts here on doing that are great...wish I had
been able to do it the easy way...Tommy WD4K
