I wasn't aware that A36 specified anything other than minimum mechanical
properties; if you have a reference that specifies the alloy properties, say
percentage of carbon, I'd love to see it. On the other hand, the other two
steels you reference, 1010 and 1018 do have their carbon composition
controlled and specified.
