Hi all,
I've found a toroid core in my junk box which has no markings and I'm
wondering if anyone can help identify it so I can figure out if it is of
any use for a Beverage transformer....
It's a fraction under 1" diameter, roughly 31/32", the hole in the
middle is a fraction under 0.5", roughly 15/32", and it's a fraction
under 0.5" thick, roughly 15/32".
It is a light orange colour (which is definitely NOT red or yellow) and
has no markings whatsoever.
I can't find anything in any of my books (including the 2000 ARRL
handbook) for orange coloured cores!
Anyone got any ideas to the permeability of this and the frequency range
it is good for? Or is there a way to figure this out using an Autek VA1
vector analyser?
