When I put up my 2 element quad back in early 60's I worked everything I
could hear.
Nowadays I have a TA53M. I can still work all that I can hear, just not as
fast as I used to.
ZA2RPS, pileup like any today (except no qrm or cops), got them the first
day or second.
Now I have to wait till a few days down the road to bust through a pileup.
But every once in a while, not that often but once in a while we little
pistols time it right, pick the right freq. or just by force of will we beat
out the big guns.
Sure makes it fun don't it.
