Dave: On my tower I have 2 rotor plates; one mounts the T2X and the other about 4 or 5 ft up has a TB3 thrust bearing and then another TB3 at the apex of the tower. I think keeping most of the weight from pressing downward on the rotor has prolonged it's life, and has made rotor maintenance considerably easier. -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.com/towertalkfaq.html Submissions: towertalk@contesting.com Administrative requests: towertalk-REQUEST@contesting.com Problems: owner-towertalk@contesting.com Search: http://www.contesting.com/km9p/search.htm |
