Forget weights, tapers, wraparound things, theories!
The least problematic way of eliminating the vibrations is to insert the rope
inside the elements. It is inside, doesn't affect aerodynamics or resonant
frequency, adds little weight and is forever.
Antenna vibrations depend also on tower, mast, mounting and what else is on.
Same antennas can exhibit different vibration patterns on different mounts. (I
bet there is someone with Force12 that elements broke off.) Your antenna
installation is a giant "tuning fork". Put the rope inside, make sure it has
room to "bounce" inside and sleep well!
