I recommend the following things to prevent water-related problems:
1. Make sure that all trap drain holes are pointing down.
2. Make sure that the outboard trap-cap on each 15m trap has a 1/4" drain
hole. (and pointing down)
3. Clean all element connections with Skotch-Brite (green colored pads)
and coat with Penetrox-A (or equivalent).
4. Make sure that all element connections are tight, and all
shorting-screws on traps are tight.
5. Make sure that all coaxial connections are weather-proofed (sealed).
6. If using the BN-86 balun, make sure that it is allowed to drain
moisture. (the sealed BN-4000 is better)
7. Do not use Belden 9913 on rotation loops.
8. If Belden 9913 is used elsewhere, make sure to use proper connectors.
9. Protect the trap-caps against UV degradation by wrapping with 1 layer
of Super-33 black vinyl tape. (leave drain hole open)
