Bruce, The HyGain DCU-1 rotor control box allows for computer control. I
would
think you can have one of these at one operating position and run a serial
cable to the other station, where you would use a computer to control the
DCU-1 remotely. Using two control boxes in parallel definitely will not work
because of the paralleling of motor start capacitors and position feedback
resistance's. Also the backfeeding of the Brake and motor run voltages would
most likely cause damage to the control box circuitry and/or the rotor
itself. Outside of the obvious eight pole double throw switching that would
be required with two control boxes, I believe it could also be accomplished
with six poles of switching if you allow one control box to supply the motor
run capacitor to the rotor and only run six wires to the other control box.
If one was to acquire a couple of small 120vac 3pdt or 4pdt relays and a
spdt power on-off switch, the necessary switching circuitry could be
incorporated right into one of the control boxes.
